KITE 2023 – Save the date for KZN’s leading industrial exhibition

After pioneering the way for a return to in-person exhibitions in February this year, the KwaZulu-Natal Industrial Technology Exhibition (KITE) is returning between 18 and 20 July 2023 at the Durban Exhibition Centre.

“We were thrilled at the fact that over 2700 visitors attended the KITE 2022 show. Given the fact that this was the first trade expo hosted in the period following our stringent Covid-19 lockdown, the numbers far exceeded anybody’s expectations. The excitement levels were understandably high in both visitors and exhibitors in this pioneering move towards normalcy,” says Charlene Hefer, Portfolio Director at Specialised Exhibitions.

A pleasing 94% of visitors were from KwaZulu-Natal, which is a clear indication that the local market is ready to start taking steps towards revitalising and growing the KZN industry. A majority 82% of KITE visitors either influence or make purchasing decisions and the bulk of these visitors are either owners of companies or in senior management positions.

“Bookings for KITE 2023 are being snapped up fast and we have seen many of our previous exhibitors returning for the 2023 event. We would like to encourage any company involved in the provision of industrial technology products and services to consider the long-term benefits that exhibiting at KITE affords you. There is simply no better way to connect with your extended market in such a targeted manner. The networking opportunities afforded by taking a stand at KITE 2023 will not only allow you to connect with potential and existing clients, but furthermore, you will be able to establish new supplier and distribution channels,” says Hefer.

KITE exhibitors also benefit from the attendance of delegates at the free-to-attend SAIMechE seminar sessions (to be confirmed), and the LEEASA conference. Furthermore, through its partnership with a number of leading industry associations – that include SAIMechE (The South African Institution of Mechanical Engineering), LEEASA (Lifting Equipment Engineering Association of South Africa), Mesa (Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association) Africa, Saiosh (South African Institute of Occupational Safety & Health), SACEEC (SA Capital Equipment Export Council) and the SAIMC (Society for Automation, Instrumentation, Mechatronics and Control) NPC – KITE reaches a vast number of potential buyers across several market sectors that include chemical/petrochemical, manufacturing & engineering, agriculture, forestry & fishing, and mining & quarrying.
